Annotation of Act 2 Scene 2

Annotation Text:
Kent talks about the hypocrisy and fake life that people lead. In contemporary times it is ironic but it seems as if he were describing the class of people who have to directly work under our leaders and those who don't have a say but blindly follow the commands of their superior. It highlights the selfishness and vulnerability that people holding their office have. And this is one thing that is common in both the times, the autonomy of the powerful, it is almost like a plague for the mighty and influential who have not found any cure against it and have been affected with it since ages.
Excerpt:
With every gale and vary of their masters,  Knowing naught, like dogs, but following.— [85]  A plague upon your epileptic visage!
